Square Foot Gardening

Enjoy gardening, but don't have the space for a traditional kitchen garden? How about a Square Foot Garden? Square foot Gardening is a method of growing more food in a small space that takes less work and time than a conventional row garden. Mel Bartholomew conceived Square Foot Gardening to solve some of the inefficient and wasteful practices of the big backyard garden. You can conserve space, seeds, water, and fertilizer as well as a lot of the hard work of tilling and weeding. Mel established the Square Foot Gardening Foundation to spread this method into areas of the world where production is a major problem. In North America, this method allows even the apartment dwellers to grow many of their own vegetables under conditions they know they are getting safe and fresh food.
